High Heels for Men

Long legs, a bouncy stride and high heels — a man can pull that off too.

Walking in high heels is challenging, and undeniably fun. Men with wide, large feet don't have to miss out on that feeling either — there's an excellent selection of men's high heels out there, you just have to know where to look. You see it more and more: men in feminine outfits on international runways. High heels look great on slim, not overly muscular men's legs. Shaving your legs helps, but it's not required — whatever you like is allowed. And if you'd rather not buy your high heels from the women's department, you can shop online, discreetly and comfortably. Wide, large men's feet shouldn't have to miss out on the fun of pumps fashion.

And since it's by far the most common assumption: very few men who wear high heels are gay — quite the opposite. They often act as fashion influencers for the women in their circle of friends and family, and remain a hugely underestimated audience — the fashion influencers of tomorrow!

Leg shaving is also a hotly debated topic. Some do it because it's simply more comfortable under silk stockings, or because it looks better. Others skip it, whether out of laziness or just personal comfort.

Either way: with pumps for men, gentlemen are choosing fashionable elegance. Between classic designs, bold colours or understated black, pumps combine effortlessly with almost any outfit. Whether with casual jeans or a suit, high shoes always cut a good figure.

Men, by the way, wore high heels long before women did. Surprising, isn't it?

High-heeled men's shoes were first worn around the tenth century by Persian soldiers, to help them stand in their stirrups and steady themselves while shooting a bow. At the time, high heels on a man symbolised significant social standing, sweeping military power, and — above all — sharp, fashionable taste.

History repeats itself. Always.

Today it's different. Stilettos and heels are generally associated with feminine style and feminine sexuality. They were heavily stylised over the last century, and we all remember the outcry when the first short skirts and high heels conquered television. The days when men wore high shoes seemed long gone.

Yet in 2022, international luxury fashion houses started sending men down the runway in high heels again. And when men choose to wear high heels themselves, it's rarely because a brand dictated it — it's because they like how it feels, want to push past accepted boundaries, or simply love the endless combinations it opens up in their own wardrobe.

What matters today: if you like it, it's allowed.

Finding your own style is not so easy.

We've just come out of two years of forced home offices, comfortable joggers and pyjama meetings. But taking the first step toward caring about your appearance again isn't always enough on its own. What do you actually feel good in, and what genuinely suits you? Finding your own style really isn't that simple!

Maybe there are far too many clothes in our closets that make us feel like we're in costume, or pieces that simply no longer fit the needs of our everyday life. Fashion trends that keep shifting, faster and faster, only make the choice harder. And on top of all that, high heels are supposed to join a man's wardrobe too? Yes, absolutely!
